Introduction to Econometrics: Analysis of the Gender Pay Gap Among Software Developers
Abstract
This econometrics project is a brief analysis of the gender pay gap among 2,096 female and 8,428 male software developers. It demonstrates the forward propagation of a linear regression model, beginning with a single variable and building to a nine-variable model.
Throughout the iterative models, the negative impact estimate of sex on wage is likely underestimated.
